Terms & Cancellation
Bookings require a flat $50 deposit to secure your date. The final balance is due 14 days before the event.
Service Pricing by City
Service pricing varies by metro area to reflect differing operating costs, wages, fuel, and consumables sourcing in each market. The price is locked in at the city you select during checkout and applied to your event total before the deposit is collected.
- · Cold Spark Fountains (2 machines, 1-hour effect window): $200 in Detroit, MI · $300 in Houston, TX
- · Dancing on the Clouds (2 fog machines, 1-hour effect window): $200 in Detroit, MI · $300 in Houston, TX
- · VIP Throne Chairs (8-hour rental window): $250 flat in both markets
Delivery fees and any applicable overtime charges are added on top of the city-specific service rate. The price you see at checkout for your selected city is the price you pay — there are no city upcharges added later.
⚠ Time Window, Not Full Day
All services are sold as a specific time-window slot, not a full day or full event. Cold Sparks and Dancing on the Clouds include a 1-hour effect window. Throne Chairs include an 8-hour rental window (left for the full event only when bundled with sparks or fog). Our technician is on-site for the booked window only — not the entire duration of your event unless explicitly bundled.
Cancellation
- · More than 30 days before event: full $50 deposit refund
- · 14–30 days before: $25 partial refund
- · Less than 14 days: deposit is forfeit
Non-Refundable Deposits — Cold Sparks, Fog Machine & Throne Chairs
Deposits for cold spark machines, dancing-on-the-clouds fog, and throne chair rentals are non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellations, no-shows, weather, venue restrictions, power/fire-marshal issues, illness, or other unexpected events. These services require dedicated equipment scheduling, licensed operators, and consumables that are committed the moment your date is reserved. We will always work with you to reschedule when possible, but the $50 deposit will not be refunded.
Overtime — Cold Sparks & Fog Machine
Cold spark and dancing-on-the-clouds fog services are booked for a defined on-site window. If your event runs past the booked end time, an overtime fee of $25 per additional hour, per service applies (billed in full-hour increments). Payment is collected on-site at the time the overage begins via the card on file or another accepted method. If payment is refused or cannot be processed, our technicians reserve the right to pack up and leave at the originally scheduled end time — we frequently have additional bookings the same evening and cannot hold equipment or staff beyond the contracted window without payment.
Delivery Fee & Service Area
Delivery, setup, and pickup of cold spark machines, fog machines, and throne chairs are billed as follows, calculated from our nearest base of operations:
- · Detroit metro base: 12705 Plymouth Road, Detroit, MI
- · Houston metro base: 3724 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX
- · Standard delivery fee: $25 for venues within 15 miles (one-way driving distance) of the nearest base
- · Beyond 15 miles: $25 base + $1.50 per additional mile, rounded up to the next whole mile (one-way). This rate reflects the national average that event-rental companies charge for out-of-area delivery and setup, covering fuel, vehicle wear, and technician travel time.
The exact fee is calculated at checkout once you provide your venue street address and is added to your event total. Delivery fees are non-refundable once the technician has been dispatched.
Weather & Force Majeure
For outdoor events impacted by severe weather, we'll work with you to reschedule with no penalty. Note: this rescheduling courtesy does not include a refund of deposits for cold sparks, fog machine, or throne chair services (see above).
